Asturian zamburiñas. Jumbo bay scallops. I had never tried anything like this. Sweet, juicy and lightly charred. I learned that bay scallops are much smaller than sea scallops but way sweeter. The orange part is the roe. In season, there is very little that can compete with these little beauties. Oh. My. Thank you for the past year and a half Roca Moo. Thank you for the amazing food, for always making us feel special and for making the effort to continuously surprise us with innovation and flavor. As the most frequently visited client, I still had a couple of new dishes that were new to me. I laughed yesterday at how the chefs said that when they knew I was coming to the restaurant, they would stress on what new dish to give me. Thank you for caring and for making this journey an unforgettable one. The next place has big shoes to fill. I hope our paths cross somewhere in this culinary gem of Barcelona and we getting to work together soon.
