I was amazed how sweet and flavourful Canadian wild blueberries are compared to the cultivated blueberries. Perfect for baking this crisp. See below for the recipe and watch my stories for a quick tutorial on how to bake this! #mymetro _________ Irresistibles Wild Blueberry Skillet Crisp: (Vegan & Gluten Free) Ingredients: 3 cups or 450 g frozen Irresistibles Wild Blueberries (Canadian) 2 tablespoons corn starch 2/3 maple Syrup (1/3 cup for crisp, 1/3 cup for blueberries) 1 cup or 100 g blanched ground almonds 1.5 cup or 135 g flake or rolled oats 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon pinch of salt 1/3 cup softened coconut oil + more for greasing skillet Caramel coconut dairy-free frozen dessert to garnish (optional) Instructions: Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease large cast iron skillet with coconut oil. In bowl, toss frozen Irresistibles Wild Canadian Blueberries with cornstarch. Stir in 1/3 cup only of maple syrup with blueberries. In separate bowl, mix together blanched ground almonds, oats, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, 1/3 cup maple syrup and 1/3 cup softened coconut oil. Transfer blueberries evenly in the skillet leaving excess liquid in the bowl. Sprinkle the topping/crisp on top with your hands. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until blueberries are bubbling and the crisp is golden brown. Serve with caramel coconut diary-free frozen dessert (Optional). Serves 4-6.

Frangipane Crisps with Nutella. I love frangipane. And I love crisps on top pies. Decided to combine the two and top with Nutella. Super simple but so yummy #improvbaking RECIPE: (gluten free) 200 g (1.5 cups) almond meal 100g (1/2 cup) white granulated sugar 55 g (1 stick) unsalted butter+more for greasing 2 eggs 90 g (1cup) oats whole or rolled 100 g (1/2 cup) turbinado sugar 45 g (1/2 cup ) almond slices or any type of lightly toasted nuts Preheat oven to 375F Generously grease a 10x15 inch sheet pan (1 inch ht) with butter. Sprinkle (evenly) turbinado sugar, oats and almond slices onto greased pan and set aside. Beat almond meal, white sugar, butter, eggs together until it becomes a smooth creamy batter (food processor’s are faster) Pour evenly into pan over the crisp. Bake for 20-25 min or until golden brown Cut into squares or use biscuit cutter to make circles. Once cooled, spread Nutella. Bon app!

To have the right to education, fair wages and the freedom to say no to an arranged marriage or any marriage is when today will be happy. It’s hard work being a woman wherever you are in the world.
