He kokonga whare, e kitea; He kokonga ngākau, e kore e kitea. A corner of a house may be seen and examined; not so the corners of the heart. Today Archbishop Philip Richardson; Archbishop & Primate, Bishop of Waikato and Taranaki, made a pastoral visit to Hēmi Tapu. It was a great privilge to have Archbishop Philip Preach and Preside (he also invited our Missioner to co-Preside with him). During his sermon the Archbishop, in acknowledging the closeness of the relationship between our Hui Amorangi and his Diocese, removed his Episcopal Ring and gifted it to Hēmi Tapu. We were lost for words - and still are! But we give thanks to God for this precious gift and all it symbolises. #Mihinare
Pīhopa Tamihere, te Pīhopa o Aotearoa. I'm still taking in all that happend yesterday. It was a deeply moving day.
Today history was made at Manutuke Marae as Don Tamihere was Installed as the 6th Bishop of Aotearoa, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, NZ and Polynesia. A privilge for me to accompany King Tuheitia on to the Marae and to be Chaplain to the Whare Ariki. #AtipihopaHou #Mihinare
