Have a kid? Need them entertained for the next 11 minutes? Well, click the link to watch Katherine and I read, “Maverick and Me,” to benefit @savewithstories @savethechildren @nokidhungry We are not just shamelessly plugging her book here. We’re reading her book as it is author approved. Apparently you can’t just read any old book. SOOO.... if you’re a Childrens author and would allow your book to be read- please send approval to @savewithstories and maybe I can talk some of my famous friends into reading them as a way to entertain our kiddos. Each of the above mentioned organizations are helping in this time of need. Katherine and I are making donations to each. If you have the means we respectfully ask that you donate too, if you please. Enjoy the stories! #GodBless #StaySafe #WeRise
Our scientists, doctors, nurses and first responders work around the clock, sacrificing all. As a nation, as a world we are being tested. Will this interruption fuel a new way of thinking? Will we rise to the challenge? Will we come together? Can we put aside petty disputes, our egos, the incessant urge to be first, to be right, to hit back, to cast blame in order to mobilize the country, and the world in what promises to be the greatest fight in some generations? That is the test. Can we produce the needed supplies? Can we build the needed beds? Can we develop the needed medicines, treatments and vaccines? Can we empower the needed professional help? Can we sustain the interruption? Will we rise up? Do we have the heart? Do we have the minds? Can we work in concert? The dismantled systems must be reconstructed right now. No casting blame, we have no time. Who will empower this change? It will require EVERYONE. The President. The House. The Senate. State officials. The armed services. Billionaire philanthropists. Community leaders. Teachers. Family members. Everyone of us. We are all being tested. When we look back on this season will our head be held high or hung in shame? Are we a nation of ones, or one nation? I pray the latter. I hope we rise.
Exciting news✨ #PixarOnward is ON DIGITAL NOW in the US! Available on Disney+ April 3. So if you and your family didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters, now you can watch it from the comfort and safety of your own home. Nice work Disney!
I came downstairs, saw Katherine crying her eyes out. I thought, “Oh God! What next!? The world just stopped being on fire. Now there’s this virus. People are suffering. Most of us social distancing. (Some ding dongs aren’t. They’re proudly out and about licking doorknobs to seem tough or contrarian or who knows- to get attention, because hey, there’s 8 billion of us people, you’re bound to get a handful of idiots.) Meanwhile other people can’t afford to stop working, they’re forced to risk it all just to put food on the table OR they’re job is to protect and serve or to take care of the sick they’re in the thick of it. All of this to say it’s a heartbreaking time. We’re on lockdown and there’s a lot to cry about. But in this one particular instance Katherine’s tears were those of joy! So I thought I’d share with you. Katherine worked her but off on this book and it made it to number 3 the NY Times best sellers list and that made Katherine cry happy tears. So. That was a peak of sunshine through some otherwise dark and ominous clouds. So there you go. If you were one of the people who bought the book thank you. And if you didn’t and are interested the link is in my bio. Love you. God bless.
I’m so proud of my darling on the success of her book!! She smartly delayed the rest of the book tour and, like the rest of us, hunkered down inside. If you’re going stir crazy and need something to do between refreshing #covid19 on Twitter might I suggest this great read!? Something truly good for the soul. Click the link in my bio and get #TheGiftOfForgiveness delivered to your door!
Today is the day!!!! Order your copy of #TheGiftOfForgiveness NOW CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO if you please! @katherineschwarzenegger this book blew me away. So proud of the extraordinary work you’ve done. I was actually shocked reading this book. Kind of crazy how little dialogue there is around the topic of forgiveness. Who is supposed to teach us? Parents? Friends? School? TV? Politicians? How do we do it? Why should we do it? What if we don’t want to forgive? What if we hate someone so much we will never forgive them? Etc. The 22 people interviewed in Katherine’s book share their journeys of overcoming unimaginably traumatic offenses. Their faith, grace, grit and openness is sure to inspire anyone who reads their stories. I want to say thank you to the subjects of this book for your openness. I truly believe you’re part of something far greater than we can comprehend. I pray this book is the beginning of a healing movement in this country and around the world.
Thanks to everyone who saw “Onward,” this weekend. You helped make it the number one movie in the world!! Did you know this movie took over five years to make!? OVER FIVE YEARS! Congrats to @mrdanscanlon #KoriRae and everyone involved in making the movie. Thanks for choosing my voice and spirit for Barley. Very grateful for the journey and tickled by the success. If you haven’t seen it yet check it out!
I really can’t say enough good things about my friend Tom Holland. He’s dashing, charming, handsome, he’s an amazing dancer, like could ACTUALLY save the universe in a dance off, an incredible talent but more importantly a really good bloke. Humble, kind and good at golf. Basically. I hate him. You know? Like... enough is enough. Anyways. See us in #Onward this week.

Raising the 12th man flag is a memory I’ll never forget. Happy Birthday Katherine! So happy to have you in my life. I don’t know what I’d do without you. Probably get locked out on the balcony somehow and have to live there or be wandering around some city with an uncharged phone and only one shoe, late for work like some kind of anxiety fever dream. I honestly don’t even want to think about it. You’ve changed my whole world for the better. I’m so grateful to have found you. You’re an incredible wife and step mom. And I’m so excited to celebrate you all weekend! 😍✝️♥️

One of the biggest thrills of film production is seeing concept art work in various forms. I grew up with a pencil in my hand. I drew everything- draw 50 horses, I copied images from comic books, marvel, dc, Conan, a lot of super heroes, plus characters from various RPGs like Rifts and Mech Warrior, I painted murals on my bedroom walls. I was always doodling. And i respect the hell out of free hand artists. So to see my face drawn on images such as the ones above is really surreal. Mad respect to the artists out there. And big ups to the kids out there drawing. Pencils and paper are cheap. Art is an amazing way to build confidence. This Christmas get your kid a pencil and sketch pad. @thetomorrowwar
