I had the best time singing with @markjphood last night at @myfirstfridays! Been singing there for 13 years and I still get nervous lol we were wingin it but I hope you enjoy this duet!!!! Fun fact: my male friends are my favorite male singers, better than y’all faves 🤷🏾♀️🤪 Video credit 🎥: @trendynerd23
Thank you for reposting, commenting, watching, or liking! I appreciate the love and the new followers! I’m working on my music, and all the love you guys are showing me really encourages me to go harder for myself! It seems people still love some good singing! I’m doing it on my own with a great management team behind me! It may take a little longer, but this time around I’m really inspired and feel that I have true support! In the meantime, I’ll be posting some fun covers. This Friday (provided that I’m better) I’ll be singing this full song with my friend @markjphood @myfirstfridays! I’m going to make sure I post that! I’ll also be recording a special stripped down song with me and piano for a special project! Any song suggestions? Think current R&B or singer songwriter, country, or alternative! Pop too!
#nomakeup #nofilter #justme I accepted the #wokeupthiswaychallenge from the beautiful @nickifioravante to remind myself that without all the extras, I absolutely love myself. I want to help bring some realness back to social media and inspire other to do so. We get so caught up in what people want us to see on social media that we forget we are all human and deal with the same things. I have insecurities about my bags and dark circles, discoloration, and as a natural, I don’t have those edges that magically lay down 😂🤣 so I am posting this to encourage anyone who may think I have it all together. I don’t. I actively make a decision to accept whatever “me” I wake up to be every single day! So encourage you all to take the challenge! But I’m calling some people out to do this one! @jennaushkowitz @adriennebailon @theajzone! Just a couple of women I consider brave and beautiful! . 1️⃣. Post of photo of yourself of how you look when you wake up in the morning (no hair done, no makeup, no filter!!) with the hashtag #WokeUpThisWayChallenge and talk about how you’re spreading the message to bring realness back to social media . 2️⃣. Tag 3 (or more!) friends to challenge them next to post a morning photo . 3️⃣. If you aren't ready to share your unfiltered morning selfie, instead donate money to @ladygaga’s @btwfoundation which is committed to promoting the wellness of young people and inspiring them to create a kinder, braver world.

Today I woke up so grateful that I get to do what I do 💜 It’s all because of #Glee (well not all, but a lot of it is 😂) And it’s been amazing seeing this cast grow. Winning awards, starting families, going on tours, creating shows, writing books, giving award worthy performances on tv. I loved this moment, I felt like he was watching over us. Felt like this was the perfect #TBT @kevinmchale @jennaushkowitz @leamichele @heatherrelizabethh @harryshumjr @darrencriss @_matthew.morrison_ @diannaagron @nayarivera @dijontalton @chordoverstreet @chriscolfer #theoriginalgleeclub #youguysaretheshit "Life really only has one beginning and one end, and the rest is just a whole lot of middle." -Will Schuester
The Celebration of our fight for freedom in this country! I am grateful for what my ancestors went through so that I could be here. The people of Texas had to wait two whole years after the emancipation proclamation was signed to know freedom. The abolition of slavery was an uphill battle, but it shows us that we can fight and win when we work together toward one goal, even through great opposition. I am a proud American, even though I am not proud of every decision that is made by this administration and don’t agree. I am proud to be black. Black is powerful, beautiful, and magical. We have helped shape and move culture in this country. We have made our mark. When those chains were broken, we created a new culture, we found our way and flourished, and even now through all adversity, we still find joy! We are resilient and we are strength. Let’s celebrate and remember who we are!!! Happy Juneteenth America! ✊🏾🙌🏾
*issa swipe* Because I am blessed to call you Dad! I love you with all my heart! You did such a great job as a dad and I am so grateful that I had a provider and covering in my home! You make me feel like I can do anything, in fact, you tell me that all the time. You’re the reason why none of these men have a chance 😂 my greatest example! Words can’t express how thankful I am! I love you!!! Happy Father’s Day Elwin!!!!
