I’m not for Amy Klobuchar because if the Democrats run a centrist or moderate, Trump will win. But when I heard how she mercilessly beats up on her staff AND eats salads with a comb, I thought, huh, maybe she COULD beat him. A crazed street fighter versus a crazed street fighter? What if she took that comb to the debates and she followed HIM (and his hair) around the stage? We must be open to all options...

People are already signing up to join the growing coven... “Hocus locus, replace the potus...” https://www.facebook.com/614600784/posts/10155943897065785/

Over 50,000 protested Trump’s fake national emergency today in dozens of cities around the US. Thank you MoveOn, ACLU, Indivisible, SEIU and the teachers unions for standing up for the rest of us.

My enormous thanks to the Writers Guild of America for nominating “Fahrenheit 11/9” as the Best Documentary of the Year. I’m honored that this new film is being recognized by my fellow writers. The film warned of the current “National Emergency” & what Trump will do next with it.

Parkland, Florida. March 15, 2018. They were planning the “March for Our Lives” at a “secret location” due to fears of, well, living in America. A week later they would ignite an historic moment in American history. We are still in that moment. How this ends is up to us.

These are 17 beloved people who live on, one year later, in all of our lives, inspiring us to act, to fight, to never give up until this uniquely American epidemic is obliterated. Today alone, in the 17 hours since 12:01 AM this morning - assuming this is your typical American day - approx 71 people have already been shot dead, through murder, suicide or accident, in the USA. And the day isn’t over. Every Valentines Day nearly 100 people die of gun violence here. EVERY day nearly 100 die from gun violence! Nearly FIVE Parklands a day! Simply because they live HERE. If they lived in Canada, Japan, the UK, Romania, Uruguay, China, France, Germany, and on and on — no country not at war loses anywhere near this in a single day, every day. Wait... maybe that’s the problem. Those and most other nations are not “at war.” We are always at war. We are conducting military operations in a half-dozen countries right now. We are a violent people. We solve our problems through violence. As one of the last nations on earth that has the death penalty, we seek revenge through state-sanctioned murder. Forcing 40 million people to live in poverty is an act of violence. Halting all efforts to save the planet from climate change is an act of violence. The mass incarceration of Black and Hispanic people is an act of violence. And, right up to and including this very hour, the perpetrators of violence in the US Senate would not pass the bill to keep the government open UNLESS THE “VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT” WAS ELIMINATED! And it was. Because we are a violent people and we are a nation that cherishes violence as much as we claim to cherish Apple Pie. I honor the Parkland dead every day and I thank and honor the Parkland students who have ignited a mass citizens movement. Each of us have to do our part or this madness will never end.

... The Future. It’s here now. Don’t fight it. Join it! You’ll like it! Beats being bitter and hateful and all uptight over a bunch of old ideas that make your children think you’re crazy. These women and a Few Good Men have offered to fix things so we can live in a just and peaceful and equitably-distributed world. You’ll eventually enjoy it! They want you to be happy — but they don’t have time for your ancient, cranky, tired, bigoted, misogynistic attitudes of how they should “behave” and keep their mouths shut and stand by while you support funding oppressive regimes posing as democracies or leaders posing as if they got the most votes when they didn’t. Those days are ALL OVER. Get with it or get on down the road. We don’t have much time. The planet’s clock is a-ticking and you aren’t lending a hand with your destructive ways. You told them to RESIGN? Ha! They are here to politically bury you. Change — or accept with humility your days and years in the time-out room where you belong. Peace.
