It’s been approximately 1 day of fall weather and I know you’re all excited for fall festivities and what not... but like can we just have summer a little longer?
Welcome to my new open door policy. So, here it goes: recently I’ve been changing my mindset. Many of you don’t truly know me. And I’d like to start providing you with authentic pieces of myself. I’m a real person. I work, I go to school, I have a dog, and I’ve felt the pressure to be perfect from everyone for as long as I can remember. Only recently have I realized that the drive and hunger for perfection has torn me down for far too long. So I hope that those of you reading will be able relate to what I’m saying, and maybe take something away from it for your own life. I’ve learned that happiness is a state of being, one which takes a long time to build and only seconds to tear apart. We’ve all been brought down by something or someone at this point. But what many often forget is that you have the power to choose how to move forward. A little positive thinking has made all the difference for me. You see, when you come into contact with others you make the choice as to whether you will take the time to consider how your words and actions will affect those around you. You can be the sunshine in someone’s life or their darkest memory... it’s up to you who you choose to be. What you put out into this world is what you will get in return. So be kind. And choose wisely. That’s all I got for tonight, if anyone has any stories or positive thoughts to share I’d love to hear in the comments below! ❤️❤️
It’s moments like this I think about past generations. How “unconnected” people used to be theoretically, yet they were way more emotionally connected to each other than we are now. I can’t imagine a time without internet and cell phones and constant communication. Maybe that was a nicer time to live in. Maybe even happier. What do you think?
