Have a good ole zoom in and see that neither of my big toes are painted, but the rest are 🤷🏼♀️
Timing. Is. Everything. Katie and I met in 2008. She says we worked at Texas Roadhouse together, that I don't remember --I was really good at binge drinking and keg stands in those days. What I DO remember is meeting her at a Halloween party around that same time. She was dressed as a Reno 911 cop...Clearly it wasn't her short skirt or kitten heels that set off my gay-dar, but those aviator sunglasses will forever be in my memories. Flash forward a few months and we were both living full fledged "coming out" stories. Together, and separately, we figured ourselves and our lives out. Katie likes to tell people I broke her heart. I think I broke my own a few times over the next several years. In 2012 I moved to Tampa and Katie was living in Annapolis. We hadn't spoken in a few years, but our relationship was never on bad terms..people just grow apart. In 2013 I saw news of Katie's mom passing away. I messaged her to send my condolences. We didn't re-connect at that time, but neither one of us expected to anyway. Until 6 months later... Annnnnd before ya know it there was this cool little app called snapchat. Funny enough, Halloween is what brought us together- again. Some casual snapchat shenanigans around Halloween led to texting and by Thanksgiving we had plans to meet up. We hadn't seen each other in about four years, and I hadn't been home for Thanksgiving in two! Alas, Kath-a-leen (as her granny calls her) got the flu. Back to Salisbury I came and went...and Katie was stuck on her couch sniffling and puking or whatever else she had going on. Back home in Tampa the following week I remember texting Katie, "My birthday is next week...you should come down and visit me!" Within a few minutes plane tickets were purchased and Katie was flying down to stay for my birthday. Hey, here's a good one: What do lesbians bring to a second date? A U-HAUL...lol ....Accurate. By February we had seen each other a total of THREE times in person and Katie moved to Tampa. The rest was history <3.
Throwback to our engagement photos 2 years ago.. I can’t believe it’s already been that long... I’m happy to report we’ve both improved on our hair game since then 🤣🤣 #sallysclipins #noshade 🌴 but seriously—this was a few months after my neon orange phase and Katie’s dreadlocks were only a month old .. how often do you change up your hair? Do you constantly wanna try something new or do you stick with what works? Just curious 🤷🏼♀️💋
I’ve sept 80% of the last few days in bed and the rest of the time working.. so here’s a pic of me hanging out with our Christmas tree last week 🤷🏼♀️
The fam... minus max and sandy because they couldn’t be bothered. Ziggy placed his little paw on my leg just in time for the camera to catch it 😩😭❤️! His love language is DEFINITELY physical touch 😹.. in all seriousness tho—- what’s your love language? Katie is physical touch.. and I get a different answer every time I take the test #complicated 🙄 .. I’d say quality time with a dash of physical touch 😸
