Eilean Donan: It’s pretty difficult to not photograph this castle when you’re in the highlands. As this was my 4th time visiting this place I tried to capture a few different angles
Exploring Dean Village. If you’re in Edinburgh and fancy escaping the crowds in old town, this is the perfect place!
Exploring Circus Lane. If you haven’t been to Edinburgh it’s easily one of the most enchanting cities in the UK. It’s riddled with cobbled streets, alley ways and passages that bring about a sense of mystery. Even the more modern parts of this city like new town (where these photos were taken) still give that distinct feel
South West Series: Last year I spent 10 days driving around the South West visiting national parks in Nevada, Utah and Arizona. For me, this trip was easily one of the most awe inspiring but highly challenging photography experiences. Before this trip I typically preferred to shoot in low light with rain, clouds and fog. In the desert these conditions are rare plus thick cloud and desert is not a good combo! Instead you have a very small window of this intense glorious light in which to get a solid shot. Editing was a whole new challenge and my typical process did not produce the results I desired. A year later, I decided to re-revisit some of those photos with a new appreciation and was pretty happy with the results! What’s a place that’s really challenged you as a photographer?
After spending weeks hiking around the Icelandic fjords with just our yellow jackets, we finally reached this hidden waterfall! Sometimes you have to work hard for these views
Two of my first ever long exposure shots from 2016. Back when I didn’t know my ISO from my F stop
A highland bothy getting battered by the wind and rain. It’s amazing how these little huts withstand the harsh Scottish weather for so long
