We are all runners. We all are strong. We all are unique. I want to live in a world where women’s bodies are no longer scrutinized and pinned up against each other in a battle of ever-increasing smallness. Our bodies are built differently and being strong on one of us may look different than being strong on another. But we are working to build strength, take up space, and not live by others standards. Let’s build this world together. No matter how we look, how fast we are, we are just who we are. This week we are celebrating our strength and uniqueness by highlighting some women who are incredibly badass. @eatprayrundc has run 10 marathons, most recently #nycmarathon2018, and is among the fiercest sideline cheerers I know. She exudes joy and happiness throughout her racing and never hesitated to stop and give a friend a hug. 📷 by @runfromthelaw
As the temps drop - do you stick outdoors or do you turn to the treadmill? My general rule is as long as its above 0, I am outside. But this winter I’m going to keep running to 4 days a week to keep me focused on strength training 2-3 days just to break up the routine and allow some flexibility for snow activities like cross country skiing (and hopefully snowboarding after a 7 year hiatus). Do you adjust training in winter or keep plugging forward chasing goals?
Sports bras are one of those things that are so personal to each female runner. Even though we each use one every time we head out the door, there is a general lack of comprehensive information for us as we search for the right answer to our needs. So what do you look for in your sports bra? Do you have a favorite - what is it? This is my new favorite - it's @lululemon mind of miles. Has an elongated profile that goes over my ribs, keeps everything locked down (for my b cup) and comes in this pretty green. I'm thinking of starting a blog series reviewing bras. If anyone is interested in participating - send me a dm.
Koala Clip review from @run_box_run ・・・ Love at first sight 😍 . . Well I have tried the @koalaclip and I have no idea how I even managed before this product. In the 15 years I’ve been running, I’ve always struggled THE MOST with how to carry my iPod and now my phone. Arm bands? Eh not a fan. Waist belts? Do not like. Hand held holders? Just couldn’t get comfortable. I love being hands free but I love how well this clip works! This clips into your sports bra (I also clipped it on my tank). It is comfy, keeps your phone dry from sweat, and does not move!!! 🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏. I love it so much I’m thinking about getting the other box one! 😍 Big fan! . . #runnersofinstagram #alabamarunners #halfmarathontraining #runboxrun #koalaclip #running #runners #repost #wevegotyourback

Run like a girl - hell yes I do. 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 💪 Still riding the inspiration wave from seeing all of you grinding it out in your races. (And I may have some major marathon FOMO).
Enjoy today everyone taking to the streets of NYC. Be bold, take chances, and remember you get to be out there, chasing your dreams and running those miles.
"There are only two exact things that I take with me on EVERY SINGLE RUN NOW—> My Garmin and this blue goodness (my Koala Clip). I thought with the cooler temps I would just go back to putting my phone in my jacket pocket while I run like I used to during the winters but I tried it one day and it drove me crazy ha… the Koala Clip makes me forget I have my phone with me" @hungryrunnergirl. #bouncefreerunning #giveitatry #legitdoesntmove #koalaclip
I like to start each month thinking about what I want the month to look like, the obligations I have committed myself to, and what I want to accomplish by end of the month. Sometimes those accomplishments are big - like hit that PR in a race - but often they are small. This month, I'm committing to drinking 1 gallon of water a day. Something I have been struggling with lately and something I know I can achieve if I focus and commit to making it happen. What do you want to accomplish this month? Share and let's hold each other accountable.
Staying active outside when the temperatures dip is all about having the right gear. What is your winter running gear must have? Neck warmer and mittens are essentials for me.
Starting off the week with some major @nycmarathon fomo. Really wishing I was going to be on the streets to cheer you all on. In the meantime - I’ll just keep sporting @stephrothstein grit tank. Head over to her site to get one of your own. #womensupportingwomen #womeninbusiness #koalaclip #grit
If you haven't read @deena8050 "Let Your Mind Run: A Memoir of Thinking My Way to Victory," drop everything to go get it NOW! It is a must read for any runner. 🌟 She talks of her mantra - DEFINE YOURSELF - that really resonates with me personally. 🌟 “Every time you make a decision, you get a chance to define who you are. When you’re out there on a run and you have a little bit of a struggle, are you going to give up, or are you going to dig down? Are you going to throw in the towel finally, or are you gonna drop that hammer? It’s not just a race, people. This is about your character. And you’re not defining yourself to the world, you’re defining yourself to yourself. It’s not about what people see, it’s about who you want to be at the finish line or even on a run. So make those choices very significant because they are showing your character, showing who you are.” 🌟 From life to running to parenting to business - what choices can I make to show up most wholeheartedly, most committed, most like myself. 🌟 Now tell us - if you've read it - what is the part that stuck with you most significantly?
