Norma Boone Brayfield, 87, of Hilliard, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2018. Norma was born in the town of Dover, Kentucky in November of 1930. She was the fifth child and only daughter of Hettye and Orville Boone. While attending a county fair, a young man by the name of Eugene Brayfield eyed the pretty Miss Norma Jean. With a formal introduction from Eugene’s aunt, a loving bond developed and the rest was history. Gene and Norma were married on December 24, 1949 and were married until Gene passed away in 2008. Norma was an avid reader and loved writing. She worked as a feature writer for several newspapers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Tamela Dawn Rapp and four brothers, Daniel Marshal, Sidney, Billy and Emerson Boone. Norma is survived by her son Todd (Kim) Brayfield of Hilliard, Ohio; daughter Torey Brayfield of Garner, North Carolina; .and son-in-law, Jeff Rapp of Plain City, Ohio. She was an awesome grandmother to Chris (Jeannie) Rapp, Kevin (Cori) Rapp, Kyle (Madison) Rapp, Jaclyn (Michael) Jaworski, Kileigh (Garrett) Welshofer and Hunter Brayfield. She is survived by seven great grandchildren whom she adored. A memorial service will be held 6 PM Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Ferguson Funeral Home 202 E. Main St. (St Rt 161 W) Plain City where a gathering will be held 1 hour prior from 5-6 PM Thursday. She will rest with her husband in Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, Kentucky.
