My new pets, only from afar, stopped by to visit again. Mama deer nursing her little one! 😍😍
Murphy Brown White, passed away yesterday afternoon. She was battling illness for awhile and seemed to be getting better with medication, but took a turn for the worse the past few days. She’s been part of the family since we got her as a puppy in June 2005. Smartest most loving dog I’ve ever had. I used to tease her and call her Lassie when she would come and eavesdrop on private family discussions or notify me her water pan was dry or she needed a treat from the treat jar. She loved family trips and outings. She was usually the first one down the stairs to the car when she saw any of us with a suitcase or overnight bag. She loved children and meeting new people. I remember going outside once to greet a delivery man, and somehow unknowingly to me, she followed me out. The delivery man afraid by her size got nervous and asked if she bites. I told him I didn’t think she knew how to bite. She did chew her food though. 😂 As you can see in the pictures, when my young nieces or nephew came over, she was right in the middle. Yesterday afternoon I sat on the steps and pet her as I struggled with if I should take her to the vet to be put down cause I could see she wasn’t doing well at all. I walked away and five minutes later she was gone. I’m able to cope better with her dying at home, rather than leaving her alive at the vet to be put down. RIP Murphy ❤️❤️
Hamilton!!!! ❤️ Then a quick trip over the Brooklyn Bridge to visit my old High School, Bishop Loughlin, not pictured because of the ugly scaffolding while under repair.
In remembrance of my Mom, the woman who aside from my dad was my greatest role model. I feel nothing but joy everyday when I think of her. I couldn’t have asked for or wanted a better Mother. Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️
My backyard has turned into an animal sanctuary! The Turkey passing through happened earlier this week. I guess the Kayaks are no deterrent! Happy Earth Day 🌎
My week late Easter post. 😂 My great niece and my great nephew were bringing the noise! They’re cousins. He’s 7 and she’s 6. Her reaction at the end is probably how my brothers and sisters felt with me banging on the drums all day when we were growing up. “Stop it! I can’t take it anymore!” The youngest 2 year old princess in the last few pictures was more content playing with Barbie’s doll house.
Happy St. Patrick's Day from a chilly but sunny New York City...The Big Green Apple Today!!
Maybe I just don't get it. How will arming teachers make students safer? Can you imagine a hall or classroom full of kids, not being in danger as a teacher fires back at the perpetrator! Bullets don't always hit their intended mark. Not to mention being a teacher standing there holding a gun as the swat team rushes in. I don't know what teacher will sign up for this. Maybe I just don't get it though. 🤔 #Whitehouse=looney toons
Once again, and again and again... Multi billion dollar, probably trillion dollar gun industry along with government padding their pockets and continuing to look the other way while innocent people get caught up in their greed. So call leaders will come out and talk their cheap talk about the tragedy. Cry their fake crocodile tears for a week or two, then do nothing as they go on with their sheltered lives. Eventually the odds will catch up with them. One day It'll hit close to home and then maybe whatever heart they have left will break, and then maybe gun laws will change. It'll be too late then. No time for I told you so's. #prayingforallthefamilies #prayingforanonviolentpeacefulcountryandworld
I have many heroes aside from my parents. Both young, old, black, white, male, female. Dr. King is at the top of that list! I often wonder if things would be different today, if he had lived a longer life. I know he paved the way for change that bettered many lives today. Including mine. ❤️ #keepthedreamalive
6am workday start, and a hour into my route, this is what I literally walked up on! Glad he or she didn't scare easy and turn on me, cause I'd still be running!!🏃🏿🦃
