Today was pretty darn amazing. I spent the whole day filming with two of the most influential women in my life - my mum and paternal yiayia (my maternal yiayia very much missed). A complete dream. We cooked recipes from Taverna, nattered and talked all things food. Feeling like the luckiest girl in the world! A whole load of memories made. Thank you @thevisualsteam for making it all so fun and easy, Kate + Chloe for making it happen. And my yiayia and mum for being so game. Although I still can’t get a photo of my yiayia smiling and/ or with her eyes open. #TavernaGH #GHbook2
Did the sunshine last week get you excited for spring? Just a few rays and I feel like a new woman. So much hope and promise on the horizon. The recipes in Taverna are for all seasons however it is a bright book, filled with Cypriot light. This is one of my favourite shots. My great great aunts hands and the cherries we picked from her garden in the Troodos mountains. I love how much of a collaborative process writing the book was. I asked for everyone’s stories; precious memories from my mum and aunt, to my uncle who’s a priest (he makes a cameo in the book, one of my favourite portraits). So many stories and recipes, all thoughtfully captured by the brilliant @kristinperers x #TavernaGH #GHbook2

What’s that? Just a pile of my new book on the table? So casual. Cannot wait for it to be out in the world now, I’m immensely proud. I’ll start sharing some extra shots and behind the scenes stuff in the next few weeks. Also it’s a whopping 304 pages, and whilst we tried to get as many food shots as possible there are a few we didn’t shoot so I’ll share my own pictures of them here 🍋 There is no ‘season’ for Taverna, it’s year round cooking but with the stunning citrus @polkapaper Illustration on the front and the joyous sunny Cyprus reportage by @kristinperers it does have a spring feel to it. Making me excited for sunnier days now too. #TavernaGH

Pain au chocolat aux amandes. Yesterday’s apres ski finished at 3am this morn (5am for half the group!), but desperate to get a quick ski in before we go home! Cue all the pastry, coffee + amazing alpine air ❤️
Chocolate chaud with speculoos. Surely one of the best things about skiing is the beverages? Now on to the vin chaud 🍷
