I’ve not #baked in a super long time. Let’s not let that happen again! I rather enjoyed the challenge of making this #gf cake for @tessajberry earlier this year. The sponge tasted just as good...I still soaked it as I would a normal sponge and I think that really helped, as well as topping it with @nutella . Normal baking will resume... it’s time to get my cake on 🎂
How do you like yours #eggs in the morning? I like mine filled with an artichoke mouse and topped with a coconut and vanilla foam... which is lucky as that’s eggactly how @claudebosi1 served me this delicious #egg at @bibendum_restaurant this weekend! My bouche was certainly very pleasantly amused! Paired with a glass of @charlesheidsieckchampagne such a treat @clerkenwellboyec1 @lucytbosi 🍳🍳🍳
Yesterday @clerkenwellboyec1 and I had a long #lunch , it’s what Saturdays were made for right? We had the pleasure of dining at @bibendum_restaurant by @claudebosi1 This was one of my favourite dishes, the Cornish Cock Crab with smoked kipper and cucumber... it was a choice selection, perfect paired by the sommelier with a clean and crisp white. I was blown away by the depth and creativity of the flavours, the presentation of each dish, @claudebosi1 ‘s hospitality and the iconic building. Earlier this week I joined @billy_and_jack for a masterclass with @tomaikens @chef_francescomazzei and @pelegrini_sibenik - each chef demonstrated a dish inspired by their trip to Croatia (high on my list for 2019.... who wants to join me?) The Black cuttlefish risotto by Rudolf Stefan was so deeply complex in terms of flavour... utterly delicious, @tomaikens lemon marinated sardines were the dream, and @chef_francescomazzei John Dory with ceps, cep purée and olive oil mash was the pièce de résistance! I love a warming #curry on a Sunday night! I really enjoyed creating this one and reading the story behind it. This is Ranji’s chicken curry from @the_locals_kitchen Ranji lives in #srilanka where her and her husband Noel own the Surfing Guest House right on the beach overlooking #hikkaduwa ‘s main #surf break. In peak season, Ranji serves up her traditional recipes to up to 60 people a day. I’m told, by author of @the_locals_kitchen cookbook, Jon Lewin, that her food is delicious and so I’m excited to tuck in! @the_locals_kitchen cookbook is a self published book, full of incredible recipes and photography captured by Jon. A must for those who’ve visited Sri Lanka... be warned, if you haven’t, you’ll want to book flights immediately! Available to purchase from @amazon now!
Last night I had the pleasure of attending #thedirtydishesxradici supper club... I do love a good club on a Tuesday night. Chef @isaaccarew joined @chef_francescomazzei at his Islington trattoria, @radici_n1 , and together they put on quite the feast! I highly recommend! Radici will be presenting it’s third to the series on 22nd January, where guests will be given an exclusive preview of dishes from Isaac’s debut cookbook, The Dirty Dishes, all cooked alongside renowned Calabrian chef, Francesco Mazzei. Isaac will be cooking up some of his favourite dishes from the book, with a helping hand from Francesco in the kitchen. Tickets are priced at £35 including an arrival drink and a three course meal cooked by Isaac & Francesco. Tickets are on sale now via the Radici website 🙌🏼 #youcanthankmelater
Remember, remember... that I order to create amazing food, you need a top quality oven. Last night @dandoherty_ hosted the most mouth watering #bonfirenightfeast cooking up dishes including curried smoked haddock chowder, chipotle beef brisket and triple chocolate, dirty, filthy, nastily good, gooey s’mores brownies (all on my stories) using a very snazzy @leisureliving induction range cooker. Now all I need is a massive house in the country... and a huge range oven. And a horse. A girl can dream! Lovely to drink great wine and break floured buns with you @clerkenwellboyec1 @billy_and_jack @rubybhogal @thekatiepix you smashed it Chef 👊🏻 @dandoherty_
It’s no secret that I love Thomas’s Cafe at @burberry . It’s such a dreamy escape from #regentstreet and I love nothing more than introducing people to the restaurant - after just one visit, typically they love it as much as I do and begin to plan their return. Yesterday I introduced @rubybhogal to Thomas’s. We enjoyed a delicious #lunch , surrounded by beautiful blooms. @riccardotisci17 influence has made its way to the plate via this Italian inspired ‘dish of the day’, smoked salmon tortellini on a bed of samphire, topped with dill and caviar... utterly divine. Of course we had a side of sausages 🤷🏼♀️ Excited to see the restaurants inclusion within the London edition of @weekendjournals thank you @millykr 😘 Bon weekend all!
I love horses and riding as much as I love eating out and cooking delicious food. I find horses to be such calming creatures and I love the feeling of freedom when galloping across the hills.... until I hit my head on a branch 🤷🏼♀️ It’s certainly up there with the best of feelings... (the galloping, not being clocked on the head). I was therefore delighted to be invited to visit Bella Ragazza at @hughiemorrison ‘s yard in Newbury this week with @sistersjunction . The beautiful Bella won the @goodwood_races @mirabeauwine fillies cup back in the summer, just after we’d accidentally soaked Hughie with champagne 🍾🍾🍾 I fell in love the moment I laid eyes on her! She’s certainly deserving of her name. I’ve also spent a lot more time in the saddle this week, time very well spent. One day I shall have my own 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄 #lifegoals #horsesofinsta a huge thank you for the boots @fairfaxandfavor - they were perfect for the occasion!

I’m back at my parents for the week, up in the #malvernhills ... relaxing. My “relaxing” break from the city started with a bang when my Dad drove over my foot with his car in Waitrose carpark (accidentally... The first aiders were brilliant and I left with a free pack of frozen of peas, so every cloud). Nothing broken thankfully but not an experience I’m keen to repeat. Consequently father had been very eager to help me in the kitchen and we’ve been enjoying cooking our way through @ottolenghi ‘s Simple. Last night we enjoyed the pappardelle with rose harissa, black olives and capers, we’ve made the butternut squash salad which I love and tonight were whipping up the curried lentil, tomato and coconut soup. I love this shot of @frankie_u ‘s hands hard at work, prepping the courgettes that accompanied our @thehappyfoodie #ottolenghisimple feast a few weeks back. The recipes really are... #simple !
