NRG trip day 5 The last day. Everything started to drip and thaw out, so we climbed more than we were able to the whole week. Still sticking to overhangs. Johnny Chimpo roof was pretty cool. Glad to get a send. Back to meadow top to finish up the short term project. #nrg We’re coming back as soon as we can. This place is AMAZING. So, so, so much left to see. #nrgbouldering #wildandwonderful
NRG trip day 4 ❄️ Snow! So much snow. We went back to Meadow Top and tried out best to make a few things climbable. 21 degrees is too cold to be climbing. Just saying.
Give me all the projects. • • • All the cool stuff I want to do is too hard for me right now. It’s a little frustrating to hardly send anything on a day out, but maybe if it bothered me more I would try harder? • • Whatever. I just like the woods. 🍂
Fun little day trip to LRC on Sunday. The trees are in full fall mode. It was so beautiful that no one even minded when it started to sleet and forced us to stay on overhangs the rest of the day. • • It was a botched day for projecting (for me), but this one was fun to put down. This is where all those knee bruises came from. • • I love a good fail video if you can’t tell. I never get the send when the camera is on. Rage (V5)
Got to a high point (not shown) on this baby last weekend. Hopefully this rain will dry out for some fun! • • • Golden shower Rocktown, GA
Rocktown, GA • • I can’t climb The Scoop(see previous rant post), so instead I did The Anti-Scoop. There are a couple of fun things out here that I’ll be returning to. • • Finally done being sick and ready to crush it all.
Looks like this weekend weather is going to hold up. I want to get out into some wilderness and play. Oh yeah! Happy Halloween 👻
Getting back at it this weekend felt so good! I almost didn’t mind how weird it felt after taking a small break. Excited to feel my body and mind bouncing back, so that this fall will be full of endless possibilities. [Dogwood]
A little LRC classic action from a few days back. Had a surprisingly good day out there considering how sick I’ve been. Still can’t believe I stuck the crux move on my project... twice... and didn’t get the send. • • It’s LRC triple crown this weekend. Where is everyone climbing? 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Alright, guys. I’m calling it. The first day of outdoor “fall” climbing! After several days of serious downpours I was surprised to see dry holds. It’s still swampy out there to say the least, but at least we are off to a (rough) start! Featured is my dumb face and AFITC crimpy crimps. Everyone else was smart enough to stay home, heh heh.
It me again. Looking back on some of the night time adventures we’ve had this past summer. If I can stick this nasty sloper thing in the southern humidity, then hopefully this fall it might feel nice enough. Not shown is that highball topout 🤩 what is shown instead is me flailing. I do that a lot. . . Slam dunk (v5) One of many of my things I hope to tick off this fall 🍂💪🏼
This summer has been awesome. We’ve spent a ton of nights fighting (really big, scary) bugs for the chance to find projects for upcoming cooler temps. My friend, instagramless Ben, starting climbing recently. This is him grabbing one of his first outdoor sends. Obed (KB arete | V2) • • • Trying not to wish away the summer and chance to train, but we all know I dgaf about training. I just want to be outside again. Just a couple more months. Sorry I don’t post much.
