Photo by #SanDiskExtremeTeam photographer @abderfilm taken in São Paulo, Brazil from a helicopter. “While I was shooting an advert for Mercedes Benz in São Paulo, I saw this perfect picture of a soccer field in “Holy Soccer Country Brazil”. The light and the structure had to be shot! This is one of my personal highlights as I am also a passionate footballer.” Tune in next month for another SanDisk ‘Behind The Lens’ interview.#soccer #saopaulo #football #brazil #helicopter
Photo by #SanDiskExtremeTeam photographer @abderfilm taken in São Paulo, Brazil from a helicopter. “This is one of the highest buildings in São Paulo. The only edits I made were to change to black and white and added a little more contrast. I thought this shot looked like a time jump into a different century. #B&W #bwphotography #architecture #helicopter #saopaulo

Welcome to July’s #SanDiskBehindTheLens! Each month we meet one photographer from the @SanDisk Extreme Team to take a closer look at some of their favorite images from their portfolio. This month we met with @abderfilm.de Name: Lars Schwellnus Genre/Specialism: Cameraman/Photographer Where do you call home? Düsseldorf (Rhine), Germany and El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain How would you describe your style? I am a documentary cameraman. I am not really specialized in one type or style (I think), but I love reportages because I am able to get very close to humans and animals without changing or influencing the situations while I am shooting. I have been shooting animal documentaries for 20 years. Did you study photography professionally? Yes What is your go-to camera? My preferred camera is the ARRI AMIRA for video and the Canon 5D Mark IV for photoshoots. How long have you been a photographer? Since 1997 Favorite photographer: Erik Messerschmidt. I really love his framing. Especially in Netflix's "Mindhunters". He's great at setting the atmosphere and mood in his scenes.
