It's just as important to work full force, with everything you have, and to push yourself than it is to simply take a step back. There's a lot more to the world you'll find when you take a step back and relax. Put your phone down and go outside. Do something you enjoy without the Internet at your fingertips. It's so easy to never look up from a screen and see the world for what it is. We live in a time where staying inside on the computer or phone is a habit and a need for some people. But we also live in a time where there's a lot of beautiful places to see, that might not be beautiful forever.
Stop comparing yourself to others, seriously. Having a good attitude is a total game changer. You can't let your emotions dictate what you do (or don't do) that day, just do something helpful to yourself! Change is always possible, at any time and at any moment. #keepyourselfgoing #thiswasnttoday #ijustwantmyabsback #butiatetoomuchpie
Itsssssss leg day. These are exercises both guys and girls should try! It's important to have a well rounded (no pun intended) physique! 😉 My @fitccessory resistance bands give me the best burn and I'm sore for dayssss! Not kidding. Make sure your form is correct before adding weight. The first exercise is not a squat, but more like a goodmorning with knees only slightly bent 🍑
If you've never taken a kickboxing class before, it's fricken hard! I was drenched 💦💦 I also realized that I'm a better puncher than a kicker 😂🙏 Don't stick to cardio machines for a calorie burn! Take a class and make it interesting!
People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason the world is in chaos, is because things are being loved, and people are being used.
How many exercises can you do with just one bar? Bent over rows 👉🏼 front squats 👉🏼 curls (using the squat rack obviously because I know everyone hates that) 🙃 3rd set and I was sweating so much already! Try it.
"I'm tired but I'll try to go workout anyways" face. | Speaking of this, being tired is the number one excuse to not do things... especially workout. You get natural energy once you begin a workout, and you can push your body much more than you think you can. We can actual handle a lot. Think of all the crap you've done to your body or put in your body over the years and you're still functioning, right? Yes. So, being too tired for a workout is the worst excuse ever. #godoit #pushyourlimits
Transformation Thursday. 👙 I used to count calories, focus on working out for a specific time every day, run my body into the ground (I worked out for like 5 hours a day... ran 6 miles to and from the gym where I lifted and took a workout class) was starving and didn't let myself eat but instead "drank water to fill up" because I wanted to lose weight even though I was super skinny. So weird. 👉🏼 right pic... even though I was doing a competition I never overdid cardio, took 1-2 rest days per week, if I was hungry I ate no matter what, workouts were never over an hour long, flexible dieting all the way (ate a doughnut before this pic) focused on NUTRITION and fueling my body to fuel my day and my workouts. I was never like over weight but it took yearsssss to figure out my body and how to do things. Patience and even more patience. Screw up a couple times too.. that helps. And no I'm not kidding lol 👌😄
Ok tomorrow go to the gym and see how many hanging leg raises you can do straight. The most I could do was 41 until I felt like my arms were gonna stretch out and break off 😂 | BUT these are probably one of my favorite ab exercises, lower abs and can alternate legs and go side to side like here. Make it harder! #readysetgo
I've definitely realized in the past couple of weeks that it's extremely hard to workout just to workout, and to stay consistent with it. Maybe you ate something bad, you have a reason to be there "burning it off". Maybe you want to build so you lift more, or lose fat so you stick to it and do cardio. If you have a competition coming up or a race or event you want to make sure you're on point to be your best. Lately, I haven't set any fitness related goals for myself so I'm going in without a plan, which makes it SUPER hard to do every week. Advice to myself and to you is start to give yourself a reason to workout, it could be that you're happy to have arms and legs to do it, but something to keep you going or else you will continue to restart and not get anywhere. WEEKLY goals are better in my opinion than monthly. #setmoregoals #workoutswontstop
You see the bosu ball in the gym but you probably never use it, right? Give this one a shot next time! There's a lot you can do ON the bosu ball but these are awesome too. 💃
Competing definitely helped me learn about myself and have structure, but I honestly can't imagine being on prep for a lonnnnng time 😂😋| It's a different life and life structure. You have to give up meals out, hanging out with friends, and get used to be tired most of the time. Do it for you in the end 💃💃
My legs were on firrrree I could barely finish. I did this 3x and was drenched already. | For the sumo deadlifts (first exercise), I usually will not put a 45lb plate on the sides because it doesn't allow me to go low enough, so if anything I'll stack up 25lb plates on each side. And by stack I mean like 2 or 3 😅😂 Next was BANDED booty werk using @fitccessory advanced bands 👌 these are killer! And yes the video was sped up, go slow with your deadlifts lol
Don't make New Years resolutions each year, make goals each week. New year but same routine, right? It doesn't have to be. Change things around in 2018 🤗💪🤝
