Last day of #MindfulMomsMovement, this turned into a wonderful journey together with my sons.🙏💞 Reflecting on mindfulness and the joy of yoga and meditation with Silas and Raven has thought me a lot about them and how they see our family and our philosophy on life. So today's word is #resilliance. I honestly think that so much of our resilliance as a family comes from being rooted in Buddhism, our love for eachother is made even stronger when we talk about it in a context that involves not just ourselves, but the entire Universe and all its living creatures. 💚🕉️🌱🌺🌍
#MindfulMomsMovement word of the day is #stillness. 💛 Even though stillness is a rare commodity in a household filled with energetic boys, we do have our moments. I am trying to make those moments longer and longer, in hopes that they will appreciate it more and more, and start seeking out moments of stillness and silence on their own. At least I noticed that they truly enjoy their own conpany, and that is a gift in itself. 💛
#MindfulMomsMovement word of the day is #Strength 💞💪🕉️. I asked my kids what being strong meant to them. The youngest one (he is 7), immedeatly said "You are so strong mama, from all your yoga! And dad is so strong from all his karate. I am strong too, from yoga and karate, and I can climb trees really well!" 😁 I love his confidence in his own body's ability, and it makes me so happy for him. 💛 My oldest (he is 11), went a completely different direction. He immedeatly stated that strength was important to be able to be yourself in this world, and to find your own path. And he said "I am grateful that I have you as my mother, because you are not afraid to be you, and I can learn that from you!" 💚🙏 I am so humbled and deeply grateful they chose me as their mama, and I will always be strong for them. 💛 💜 💚
#MindfulMomsMovement, oops we switched the days, so todays word is #compassion. 💛 🙏 We raise our children in Buddhism, so compassion is something we talk about at every crossroad. But it is such a full and endless concept, I know we can ever say we have talked about it enough. 💛 I will just leave it at that... With our favourite mantra of compassion : Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bahvantu 💛🕉️🙏.
#MindfulMomsMovement day 3 is #creativity. 💛 We are definately a gang who let's the creative juices flow! We sing, dance, play many different instruments between us, with various degrees of sucsess, but always with heart and soul! 😂 We let the kids try out experiments with foodrecepies, art, painting, water, seashells and rocks... It leaves the house a mess, but at least it helps them learn how to clean up to! ✌️💜 😁 To me creativity is also about being brave, about showing your true self-expression. And I want my kids to have a lot of practice doing exactly that. 💛 ✌️💞
#MindfulMomsMovement day 2 is #Courage. 👑💟🙏 My 7 year-old immedeatly said "Warrior pose! It makes me feel brave!" I believe one of my most important tasks as their mother is to do my utmost to equip them with the COURAGE to search for, and to BE their own true self. 💛 I always tell them "Be yourself, everyone else is taken!" 😉 - and we all laugh, but they know what I mean, because we talk about these things all the time. 💞 I makes me so happy to witness their growth, their individual and uniqe approach to life. 🙏 I am curios to continue to get to know them. My couragous boys. 💛

Today is the birthday of a very spesial person, my mentor and one of my best friends, a truly amazing woman. Her name is Carla. It warms my heart with such love and joy that she is a part of my heart and my life. My very first yogateacher when I was 14, my best conversational partner, my favourite person to laugh with. So incredibly grateful.💛
