This morning some of my favorite people stood on the summit of Everest. Very proud. Way to go boys. Now come home safe.
Totally overwhelmed and excited to announce that my second book "Changing Gears; Ups and Downs on the New Zealand Road" was finalized this morning. The book is set to release on May 29th (at a launch in LA). Honestly, my first book came so easily, and this second one was like pulling teeth. I poured my heart and soul into it and am incredibly proud of how it came out. The book chronicles my 28day solo cycle trip around New Zealand. It was a physically and emotionally challenging journey and more than anything, this book is about the ongoing process of grief. Thank you to all of those dear loved ones who have supported me through my writers block, late night phone calls and emotional withdraws over the last year of writing. Very excited to share this journey with you all! #bookstagram #bookish #book #bookshelf #launch
. I think I shall call this one: .Sun Soaking with Unshaven Legs. ..................☀️. 💙.☀️...................
. I cannot remember the conversation that we were having in this photograph, if my imagination were to run wild, I would think that my sweet big brother was telling me the story of these two geese and how they fell in love and created a family. My brother was never like most big brothers. Most big brothers didn't take the time to explain the intricacies of life to their younger sister. Most big brothers wouldn't teach their sister how to read. Most big brothers wouldn't always be there with words of encouragement for their little sister. My big brother was like not most big brothers. This picture captures our relationship; from the moment I was born my big brother held my hand and tried to help me through life. Today my big brother still holds my hand in a very different way. I was very lucky to be born with you was my only sibling Denali. I was even more fortunate to get the time on this earth with you that I did. And now, after your death, you are still holding my hand and teaching me about the ways of this world. Happy birthday big brother, this earth is not the same place without you in it 💙
