My mom is, hands down, the most awesome woman I know. She fights every day for immigrant rights and equal justice, she's kicked major ass in federal court, literally saving the lives of immigrants who came to the US seeking asylum and were facing deportation that would have resulted in certain death, and she has been an equal rights advocate, civil rights protestor, independent, intelligent, kick-ass feminist for as long as I've known her (and longer, so I hear). She has never stopped learning, exploring, and working her ass off for the greater good. Here she is smoking a cigar in the woods on her birthday. May we all strive to be as awesome as my mom. Happy International Women's Day to us all 💃🏻
#Repost @eliotglazer with @repostapp ・・・ #Repost @jefferyself with @repostapp ・・・ The President just enacted law against fucking children. Not against FUCKING children, just against trans kids, whose lives are undoubtedly shadowed by some level of pain, misunderstanding, and feeling of living on the periphary. He's a terrible, terrible person, a soulless ghoul. But, for the record, he's literally said HE would fuck his own daughter.
This RUGGEDLY HANDSOME man turned 30 today and we're celebrating by eating nummy bears* and watching him shoot alien zombie creatures in the face**. This post is for him because he's the birthday guy and deserves all the likes and comments and 😍🙌🏻👌🏻💪🏼 emojis for being the nicest, smartest, funniest, coolest and most considerate, supportive, talented dude I know (but it's also totally me bragging because I get to date him and LOOK AT THAT FACE) *nummy bears are a gift from the gods sent straight from heaven to a Sprouts grocery store near you. **resident evil is terrifying and we're just trying to get to the dissection room already.
Sometimes I wonder how people can go about their daily lives not wanting to be an actor. What's that like?
My favorite Christmas present: "adopting" Ikemba the HeroRAT! Ikemba is an African giant pouched rat who saves lives by detecting land mines in Malange, Angola. She is pictured here with two HeroRAT trainers (Steve on the right and Paulo, upper left) and in her clay pot home. In December she helped clear 2,700 sqm of minefield. You too can adopt a HeroRAT!
