Pīhopa Tamihere, te Pīhopa o Aotearoa. I'm still taking in all that happend yesterday. It was a deeply moving day.
Today history was made at Manutuke Marae as Don Tamihere was Installed as the 6th Bishop of Aotearoa, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, NZ and Polynesia. A privilge for me to accompany King Tuheitia on to the Marae and to be Chaplain to the Whare Ariki. #AtipihopaHou #Mihinare
I'm on my way home after an exciting Rūnanga Whaiti in Gisborne. The Whaiti is the committee that oversees the work of Te Pīhopatanga o Aotearoa - the Māori Anglican Church. Our new Archbishop, soon-to-be His Grace Don Tamihere, is an inspiring leader. The sky is clear for our Hāhi and the future is exciting. Some wonderful things on the horizon for the #Kiingitanga160, #Ringatu150 and #Ratana100 ... Kia ū ki te pai!
A full house this morning to welcome the Bisbop of Ludlow - Alistair Magowan - and his wife Louise. Bishop Alistair preached a wonderful sermon about Rugby, whakapapa and whakapono!
And just like that #Ora is all over! Such an awesome Hui equipping our whānau for life in Christ! Ngā mihi ki tera whānau, ki tera whānau e tautoko kaha nei i te kaupapa! A great privilige today to welcome +Alistair and Louise who have joined us. +Alistair is the Bishop of Ludlow in the Church of England. That's all for now - watch out for #Ora2
