Been using a couple of Aussie beauty/body care brands and started to notice the formula of their packaging: brown transparent bottle with black lid. . Not all brands are like this, but you'll find heaps with similar pack. *But that's just my two cents*
Stepping up from the usual Maybelline to #Eyeko Black Magic Liquid #Eyeliner. Really good felt tip for precise, smooth and easy application. Color is pigmented, doesn't smudge or smear easily on my oily lids during Brisbane's extreme summer. I think it's worth considering, especially because women deserve things that stay, i.e. this eyeliner [and of course, men] 😉
The video makers, family members and neighbouring kids gathered for screening yesterday. . We had blackout since early morning, but thankfully screening was still on coz we had charged all equipments the night before [one needs to be well prepared 💪]. Thank god the office owns a portable projector. Really useful for rural condition! . #participatoryvideo #aidabaleten #easttimor #timorleste #vivatimorleste
The girls' serious look while reviewing shots. . We did some shots today but apparently the schedule needs to be extended as we still have 3 frames on the storyboard. Changed costume twice, moved location three times, and did lots of retake especially on scenes involving many. Sometimes everything is good but then goats started to bleat continuously 😑. . Will carry on tomorrow and do the screening on Wednesday. Wish us luck! #timorleste #easttimor #vivatimorleste #aidabaleten
Developing planu ba estoria [story board]. . First fifteen minutes is the most challenging part. The farmers were quiet, as they're thinking hard to craft a storyline. Additionally they felt unconfident in drawing. Yet as conversations warmed up, they too became more comfortable in throwing ideas. Markers were uncapped, and the rest is history 🙌 . 🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱 . #participatoryvideo #Aidabaleten #easttimor #timorleste #vivatimorleste
Second-hand clothing seller from Liquica, the neighbouring district. . Every Saturday vendors from other areas flocked to market in #Aidabaleten, selling various items such as fresh produce, live cattle, apparels, and cooking utensils. Large part of the market is dominated by stalls covered in tarpaulin selling second-hand clothings sourced from God knows where [some say it's from Dili]. Top is sold for US$1, while skirt, pants, and dress is offered for US$2. To me it looks like a good business as it provides an affordable [and more varies] clothing to the community, generates profit to the sellers, and beneficial to the environment. Because every clothes reused is one less garment produced! 🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱 #easttimor #vivatimorleste #timorleste
Day 7 - January 13, 2017. 🇦🇺 Spent our morning at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, and was impressed with the historical exhibition and also Phillipe Parreno's Thenabouts [a bit surreal to me, but still, striking 👌]. . We then had lunch and hung out with Miss @octora_ox who took us exploring #VCA, going from one studio to another [obrigada Senora!]. . The rest of the day was more of a gastro experience: Pellegrini's apple strudel and watermelon granita, and Shandong Mama's dumplings. I fancy Pellegrini's, because of its tavern-like arrangement, vivacious bar conversations and authenticity [so Italian!]. Was keen to have a taste on the celebrated lasagna, but I was full 😭😭😭. Well perhaps it's a sign that I have to revisit in the future. . Can I get an amen? 🙌😉 . #EnggarDutoAussieTrip #Melbourne #pellegrinis
Better start journaling again about my Sydney-Melbourne trip before it gets burried over school stuff 😁. . Day 6 - January 12, 2017. 🇦🇺 We left Sydney early in the morning and arrived in #Melbourne at 9am. The main agenda was to visit RMIT to obtain information on their PhD program in art. Unfortunately we only managed to meet the post-grad administrator and weren't able to do campus tour as the studios are under maintenance. . Strolled down Swanston St, had a single-origin, filtered coffee at Brother Baba Budan [starting to embrace the [coffee] snobbishness in me 😂] and headed to the underpass at Flinders Street Station to check some exhibitions. . We were particularly stoked with Sticky Institute, a shop specialising in #zine with such mind-blowing, comprehensive collection. Husband was thrilled and really drowned into it. Little did I know that #StickyInstitute is supported by the local government [❗😱]. . Boy, it was only the first day in Melbourne, but I can sense how the city reverberates a strong buzz of artistry, attracting heaps of creative minds. . Love it. 💞💞💞 #EnggarDutoAussieTrip
Senor Aris, Albano, Carlito, Anthony, Joào, Dominggus, Eugevio, Sergio, and Anekletu. Farmers in Aidabaleten who joined today's #photovoice training. I was quite nervous, thought nobody would come. Turned out 9 #farmers showed up [yeay 🙌] and even though they were still shy in articulating their thoughts, they said they enjoy the training and found it useful. Best thing is, all are committed to allocate their time in the next 5 days to attend the class. "Amutu kita bele, [bersama kita bisa]" they said. Well that's the spirit! 🙆🙏 . 🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱 #aidabaleten #easttimor #timorleste #photostory #vivatimorleste
Simple airport [not as I expected], with only a few international flights. Good thing is I don't have to ride on a shuttle bus/train or even go to other building when exchanging from domestic to international flight.
Missing this lad so much😘😘😘! One more semester to go for the long-distance thing, bebe 🤗. Yes WE CAN!
