“it is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” 📷
“Do not presume to change a word of what I say. If I seem to wander, if I seem to stray, remember that true stories seldom take the straightest way.” ~ Patrick Rothfuss
I’m very excited to be heading back to Dubai for two weeks! We also still have two spots available for our 2-day cityscape rooftop photography and post-processing workshop from March 11th - 13th. Send me a direct message if you would like the details. 😊📷
Photography isn’t just something you can see with your eyes, it’s also something you can feel with your heart. ❤️
13 Countries, 96 Flights, 201,022 Miles, and dozens of photography projects and events! 2017 has been an amazing year! A huge thanks to everyone for the continued support with the kind comments, likes, plusses, tweets, and shares. It has been both an honor and a pleasure to share my photos and experiences with all of you and please know that you’ve all helped make 2017 a truly wonderful year.
In Iceland, it’s as if the earth and it’s ancient volcanoes possessed the sentient ability to craft a landscape worthy of legend. From the mountains, to the waterfalls, to the famously dramatic coastline and pristine black sand beaches, Iceland is a country that deserves the attention it receives. And from a photographer’s standpoint, it’s a visual paradise of artistic possibilities.
To quote one of my favorite authors, Neil Gaiman, “A philosopher once asked, “Are we human because we gaze at the stars, or do we gaze at them because we are human?” Pointless, really… “Do the stars gaze back?” Now, that’s a question.”
I’m having a great time at The @ngexodusaveirofest ! This afternoon I’ll be giving a 30 minute presentation about how my photography style revolves around balancing the best lighting conditions and often blending different moments in time together into one seamless result. From light trails to star trails, it’s a topic I love to to teach and discuss. 😊📷🇵🇹
Ever since the launch of Photographing The World 3 in September, I’ve flown about 75k miles in a whirlwind of projects and events. However, as a result, I’ve been pretty slow to post new images here on IG. Apologies for that! I have over a years worth of new images to share soon. I just need to find some time to edit them and an unlimited supply of coffee. Hopefully that’ll happen this December! 😎☕️
Photographing The World III is Here!! 😀 The @officialfstoppers team and I have teamed up once again - with 15 new lessons and 18 hours of video content, I guide everyone step-by-step though my entire post-processing workflow both in-the-field and in post-processing. From capturing star trails over the beautiful town of Atrani on the Amalfi Coast, to shooting and stitching perfect panoramic images on rooftops in Dubai, this installment of Photographing The World ramp up in complexity and compliments the first two seasons in a great way.
