Welcome to the Wild Wild West of Morningside 🏇 I first found out about this hidden alleyway a couple of years ago - who would have thought that you can find a Western saloon, jail and stables in the heart of Morningside? These buildings were originally advertising The Great American Indoors company trading Southwest style furniture. The entry door of the Cantina still serves as fire exit of the Morningside Library.
The temperatures may have dropped, but that does not mean we need to give up on ice-cream 🍦🎃 What is your favourite ice-cream? I can never get bored of pistachio 🐿
After a wonderfully sunny week in Tuscany we are ready to embrace autumn in the 'burgh 🍁🍂 Planning some autumn walks with Mr Enthusiast and hoping for ☀️ and 🐿🐿 What are your plans for the weekend?

Can you guess the location? No it's not Edinburgh's Dean Village but the picturesque Snuff Mill Bridge over the White Cart Water in Cathcart 🏰 I discovered this hidden gem on the way to Holmwood House from Cathcart station during @glasgowdoorsopendaysfestival - well worth the small detour! The building by the bridge is called Lindsay House and it is dated from 1863, half a century before Cathcart became part of Glasgow.
'No, no! The adventures first, explanations take such a dreadful time.' 🚙 Lewis Carroll: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

'Life is a journey up a spiral staircase; as we grow older we cover the ground covered we have covered before, only higher up; as we look down the winding stair below us we measure our progress by the number of places where we were but no longer are.' William Butler Yeats
Hello September 🍂🍁 Looking forward to crisp mornings, colourful leaves and stunning sunsets like tonight 🌅
'Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.' 🍎🍂 J. K. Rowling: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Wee break from studying to catch up with @kmurphster who was re-visiting Edi from Cambridge. Her fresh start in the South reminds me when I moved to Edi over 5 years ago. Having left my beloved Warsaw I had to start from zero. Don't get me wrong, I love Edi but the first few months were filled with longing for my previous home, far away family and friends, favourite streets and cafes. Talking about cafes these cakes by @the_pastrysection are almost too pretty to eat 🍰🍩
